The daily anxiety keeps you away from friends, dating, and making progress in your life. Ruminations keep you up at night.

Questioning your reality is eating into your day. Your rational brain tells you the danger is over, but your body hasn’t yet caught up with that reality. You feel easily triggered by everyday events, so you avoid anything that may bring up negative feelings. The depression starts seeping in because you feel so hopeless.

Unhealed trauma holds us hostage. It can wreak havoc on minds, bodies, and relationships, leaving you in a holding pattern instead of fully immersed in life.

EMDR is an evidence-based trauma treatment.

This groundbreaking approach helps people reprocess memories that cause so much distress. EMDR can be successfully applied in treating PTSD, sexual assaults, near-fatal accidents, medical trauma, bullying, intergenerational trauma, as well as repetitive “small t” traumas such as rejection and interpersonal conflict.

In addition to treating trauma, EMDR can help address fears, phobias, grief, ruminations, and other negative patterns you may find yourself in – including any material you have an unwanted, heightened reaction to.

In our sessions, I will thoroughly prepare you for this work. Our relationship and the safety you feel with me as your therapist is paramount. We won’t go deep until you feel safe.

I will “resource” you, eliciting feelings of protection, nurturance, and wisdom. Then, with bilateral stimulation (like alternatively tapping on your shoulders), we will walk through your traumatic material together.

I will be there with you every step of the way. Not only will we target the memories alone, but we will also work through the body sensations and negative beliefs that surround them.

EmdrOn the other end, there is freedom.

You no longer need to avoid those places or those things, and relationships and situations will trigger you less. You may know these experiences are behind you, but after our sessions, you will also feel they are behind you. A peaceful well-being will be yours to enjoy.
